Hi, thanks for your interest! You only have to write fic, but your recipient may be a writer or an artist. So the work you're remixing might be art, but you would still write fic for it (a minimum of 1000 words). Does that make sense?
That shouldn't cause a problem! We can always sort out doubles when we send emails.
