Ive been working on a continuation comic, of Squim navigating life as a ghost with help from Charlie & Pim! :D Just a lil something fun!

I only did his design aspects hehe! Concepts, expression/model sheets and so forth! :] He was animated by another team, who did an amazing job capturing my style!

In December 2025 I wrote a short comic script taking place after the events of "Squim Returns" and as of early-February I have more than half of the pages already complete!
Comic pages will be released monthly starting in May up until the end of the year! Hope yall will enjoy! :D

Squim, once known for his positive attitude & love for life has become a gloomy ghost, struggling to bring positivity to a world who sees him as an eerie wandering spirit.

Pim & Charlie's latest mission? To help the soul of a former Smiling Friend search for his joy & purpose!👻

Here's a side-by-side of the 2016 vs 2026! I wanted to try and keep close to the same color composition, as I liked how that originally looked, but I tried some different posing on the characters in the new one! :D

Redraw of a 2016 drawing I did starring Yoshi, Wario, Waluigi & I also added in his pal Boomer my bob-omb character (he first appeared in my art in 2020, then recently in 2025!)
I figured this one would be fun to draw again after 10 years! 8D

Ock & his talkative tentacles xP This one just sat for a while as a sketch but went & finished it up recently! 8D (The quote is a small excerpt from the Spider-Man 2 novelization!)

Canonically, Grim & Gnarly were long gone by the time Squim returned, but this is just for fun! :D You can say that Squalm has qualms about being a Frowning Friend, not really liking the idea of bringing people down! Upon hearing this- Squim wastes no time gettin him outta there!

"Curse you, Smiling Friends! That's OUR employee! Gnarly, follow that wretched yellow ball!"

While not the usual mean-spirited Frowning Friend, Squalm is a doubtful critter! He's uneasy & apprehensive with a strong conscience- opposite to chaotic & spontaneous counterpart Squim!

Thought id draw a new pic of these batty cats who debuted 15 years ago today, Edwin🐅 & Vinny🐆! I drew em as random characters on my posterboard project I did for school back when I was 13 about comparing results of different crayon brands, and they just ended up sticking around among my other OCs!:D

YEEE So many Squims!!! These are wonderful and I'm so glad you enjoy drawing him!!! :D

I think if Squim was an animal, he would totally be a Squirrel!!! xP

90's Squim makes an appearance again in a random thingy I recently drew! 8D
80's/90's Squim are direct callbacks to some of my early passes at his design from 2024 when he had a large hair tuft & funky hat as well! I thought itd be fun to bring them back for this lil timeline of Squim!

A few Doc Ocks! B) No Way Home(Which had its 4th anniversary on December 17th), and Spider-Man 2!!!

Lotsa Pachas! Celebrated the 25th anniversary of The Emperors New Groove on December 15th! Dang I cant believe I've loved Pacha for a whole 25 years now!🥺He's a huge comfort character for me! You may recall I even shared a video of my Pacha collection earlier this month hehe! ^^

Balto stuff!!! December 22nd marked the 30th anniversary of the movie! I loved it so much as a kid and watched it a lot, its always been a big art influence of mine as well!!! Here we have Star (he's my fav lol!) and Balto!

Glep & Squim stuff! We got Squim introducing himself to Glep after being hired as first smiling friend! I also drew Ghost Squim as Jacob Marley from A Christmas Carol! XD

Fun fact: The hat Squim is wearing is the same one from my original concept art/early designs for him!

Withered/Toy Animatronics, and the Puppet/Marionette! I believe 2019 was the last time I drew the Withereds, and I havent drawn puppet since 2017! Also one of Foxy & Chica, showing what she looks like without her scarf holding her jaw in place (a bit of Jacob Marley inspiration!)

And now, the December sketchbook page closes out the year!✏️🎉
I hope you all enjoyed the 2025 Sketchbook Series! It was a fun project to do through this year! Did anyone have a favorite page? :D
I hope to do more pages in 2026 too, though maybe not monthly, but just randomly!
