I started working on Tho Radia in 2012 but this is the first time I have written about the company in depth which is ridiculous. Might have to do some more now as there is still a lot to say ....

Enough politics. It is publication day for the paperback edition for The Far Edges of the Known World; it's a book that has been described in reviews as both strikingly and refreshingly original.

So if you fancy reading about the ancient world from a different perspective - give it a read!

Haven’t shared much about this yet but my next book is about the making of Some Like It Hot. My agent always said think about what gets you angry - and the tales around Marilyn are definitely one of those things so have reassessed and come to a much more nuanced and interesting story (I hope!)

How romanticised images of London fog shaped the way we see polluted air London’s fog literally fogged photographs with the yellowish hue of the capital’s notorious ‘pea-soupers’.
