I’m a middle child of a large family—the third of four from one parent, the second of five from the other, with six children split across two decades between them. I won’t explain that further; it’s irrelevant here. The point being, I come with all the stereotypical particularities of my birth order: I hunger for attention and tend to be bad at receiving it. I’m shy by nature—Not necessarily quiet, though I have been accused of such. But, shy. It competes with the aforementioned need for attention in strange ways, showing up as anxiety that stops up my throat in one-on-one conversations, but lets me perform public Karaoke with abandon. I was an easy baby and a quiet toddler, to hear my parents tell it. Though, knowing myself now, I wonder if I was truly ‘quiet’ or if I just failed to raise my voice above my brother’s. My brother is just a year and a half younger than me, which means he was small at the same time I was, and an immediate competitor for my parent’s time and energy. He was louder, and younger—a difficult baby where I was easy. My solution to this deficit is not one I would recommend to other toddlers. Though, from the way my mom

It *looks* like anyone that can prove that a grandparent, great grandparent, etc was a Canadian citizen are also eligible, but don't quote me on that one.

Canada recently loosened up some of their citizenship requirements for people with Canadian parents. I functionally have to fill out some paperwork that says my mom is Canadian, and wait. If everything goes right, I'll then be eligible for a Canadian passport
