Because Oklahoma is execrable in its devotion to Trump. There is no chance in hell Oklahoma can elect a Democratic candidate to that seat. The goal is to elect someone who is not totally batsh*t crazy and foaming at the mouth.

Mullin is uniquely unqualified to even serve in the Senate.

The only currently serving senator without at least a bachelor's degree.
