Yeah think you’re right. Wonder whether it’s the Vic TV audience rather than the physical audience they care about the most. I was back in UK during last season for a Friday night game. Was great watching a Swans game with a Friday pub lunch!

It’s a crazy time for most fans to attend, but we’ve always seemed to fill the SCG pretty well for a Thursday regardless. I figured attendances were literally all the AFL care about, not the actual fans. But we’ll take it!

Agree! Swans virtually sold out the SCG for our opening round this year, and despite the GF hangover will almost certainly sell out again next year with Hawks making the trip.

Yeah for sure. Fairly certain first game against Melbourne last year was near enough a sell out on a Thursday. And they are one of the smaller Vic fanbases
