This is the second book I read in 2026 and ultimately was a very well written and cozy read. It also taught me that I donβt like memory-loss/amnesia rom coms. at all. π
which is why I havenβt gone back and read the first in the series because it relies on the same device. But great if you like them!

Cover of the book How to Stop Breaking Your Own Heart by Meggan Roxanne, founder of @thegoodquote. The cover is gray and features a review from Jay Shetty: βMegganβs words have the power to make you feel seen, understood, and less alone.β
Book 1/70: How to Stop Breaking Your Own Heart by Meggan Roxanne. 4 βοΈ. Memoir meets self-help book about setting boundaries and loving and prioritizing yourself. I really enjoyed reading this as my first book of 2026 and carrying this positive energy into the year!

Katβs Ongoing 2026 Reading Review Thread! Iβm a little behind, but plan to use this to share what Iβve read and how I liked it! I tend to only finish books that (for the most part) I absolutely loved, so expect lots of 4 & 5 star ratings. ππ

Iβm in ED recovery and loved the show as a teenager and almost auditioned - glad I didnβt, definitely skipping the series for my own continued health and recovery.

I donβt know what it was, maybe the mood I was in when I attempted? It was recommended to me by multiple friends, but I tried multiple times to get into it and just could not. Had to abandon it.

I havenβt used this platform in many many months. So much has changed since last May. I am no longer engaged. I now have over 4 months of hard-won sobriety under my belt. Iβm still reading, especially any books with a time related element, and hope to re-engage & share my reading here. ππ

Itβs been getting to 84 before 9am here as well the last few days and Iβm in a region that rarely gets hot (Midwest USA). Iβm so sorry your AC isnβt working - mine in my black car doesnβt and going anywhere is a nightmare right now.

Amazing!! Thatβs my very favorite cheese, too - I had a three tiered birthday βcakeβ or it a couple years back π€€ (not a monger, just a queer cheese appreciator).

I voted for her early and so glad I did; I was in the hospital halfway through an 8 day admission (a couple days after voting) when I found out she lost, couldnβt have been worse timing π and ironically Iβve had a literal constant headache since 2016 as wellβ¦wonder whyβ¦

I was literally just thinking this morning, βwow, if anyone has ever been the most correct in the history of ever and justified in feeling superior to all the jerks who tried to laugh them off, it would be Hillary Clinton.β She warned us.

Iβm so glad everything is so much better for you all now. While my ex wasnβt abusive, I also find it so much easier and happier for my daughter and for both of us to be living apart and just focusing on effective coparenting and putting her first. You clearly put your kids first too! π

My Facebook has a very similar algorithm ππ«£ so many muppets and crafts posts. Tiny bit of protest stuff but not a lot. And also lots of horrible news stories about children (but not the same ones that are on here.)

Good for you! I also havenβt been to a dentist since 2019 - I know I really need to but I have so much fearfulness/trauma from losing an adult tooth in 2019 and the oral surgeon basically saying a bridge wouldnβt work bc of my chronic illness. I should get that 2nd opinionβ¦

I turned 34 Sunday - the 5th time in my life my birthday has been on Motherβs Day, and my second time as a mother! π it was a great day spent riding rollercoasters at Cedar Point, and I have a feeling that 34 will be my best year yet - so much esp. my 1st house & wedding on horizon!

Same!! Lifeβs too short to interact with people who think the internet is free reign to be a total ass because itβs βnot real lifeβ. I always wonder if their loved ones know how they treat people online.

Still waiting to hear if youβll clarify this clearly dishonest and not thoroughly researched article. Fully transparent and honest journalism is more important now than ever; we donβt need half-truths and bending the knee. Will not be trusting Science for the next few years if this continues.

A selfie of a red headed person with glasses frames of dinosaurs with balloons, seated on a rollator with one handle visible in the frame, wearing an olive green t shirt that has a picture of a rollercoaster on it and says BIRTHDAY RIDES AND GOOD VIBES.
A picture of the back of the seat of a rollator with a sticker on it that says CERTIFIED MEMBER INVISIBLE ILLNESS CLUB with a picture of a ghost on it

Itβs my birthday eve eve eve and Iβm making the debut of my new mobility aid, Rory the Rollator! Thanks for all the mobility aid advice! As you can tell by the last picture, I put it together this weekend and it was quickly co-opted by one of my cats, Barnes.

Unfortunately trump loves AI (which tracks with him loving everything terrible and destroying everything else). Heβs shared obviously fake AI images of things like Black women supporting him in droves & him as the Pope. He only cares for it his own validation and honor.

If you took the time to use image descriptions, think about how much more accessible your posts would be. This is a great excerpt and Iβm totally in agreement with the message, but so many big accounts forget to make their image posts accessible. Please - be one of the good ones!

While I agree about most democrats, there are some democrats (Newsome π€’) who are throwing trans people under the bus to appear more βmoderateβ. There are others who blame us trans people for Kamala losing which is absurd. Supporting trans people shouldnβt be political. Itβs human rights.
