What would you say to independents who live in uncompetitive districts, where people only run in the dominant party and the only down-select is at the Primary, where you can't vote unless you join the party?
At all costs, we need to resist any sort of suggestion that technology in the classroom enables us to increase the ratio of students to teachers. SUPPORT learning by pressing for no more than 20 students per teacher, so when the split classes for lack of subs, it's still a sane ratio.
As a teacher, I would say a big part of the problem is when teachers are pushed to teach ACCORDING TO the software, when no amount of personalization metrics are going to substitute for a teacher's assessment of what a student needs.

So much that’s good in this, but clipped out this in particular. Yes, yes, yes: it’s a losers’ ideology, demonstrably, historically so. It’s stupid and pointless and wearying, and, as he says, it ends up eating itself. It’s who it takes with it on the way down the shitter that’s the tragedy.
My first thought was why is the woman knock-kneed. Then I realized she's wearing bell-bottoms. But I can't shake the impression she's drawn as though someone has tied a rope around her knees so she can't walk. Maybe bell bottoms were all a bondage allusion?
