Can’t say I expected to do a foray into linguistics during my PhD - a fun study collaborating with Sam and many passionate undergrads (who have gone on to do incredible things of their own!)

While we can use methods from landscape genomics like environmental GWAS to identify adaptive genetic loci, these loci and climate-of-origin data don't contribute much more to prediction of phenotypic traits in multi-environment trials than GBS data or population structure. (2/3)
