Someone else recommended that. Maybe I'll try that at some point.

Thanks. But I'm still on Windows 10, shaking w/ fear at the thought of jumping to Windows 11 and having my most important apps -- like Mozilla Thunderbird -- not work!
It's a scary world out there!
Ok. I actually believe that.
I think I'll give that idea up and just backup my usual directories (APPData, ProgramFiles, Documents, Desktop, etc.)
Thx
Friends ... I'm wanting to clone my laptop onto my storage device. The 'internet' is telling me I need software like EaseUS.
1. Is that reliable *easy to use* software? It's supposedly free. True?
2. What if I just copied the OS (C:) directory?
Thanks for any advice you can give?

Yes, that's what the link that I posted said. Why are you repeating them?
Here's the most remarkable story I've heard in a long time.
One woman discovers Nystatin, the 1st anti-fungal compound.
She & another then establish the field of anti-fungal medicine. Neither was mentioned or given credit until after they died.
Glory to both! ๐งช

There will be no organisms left to care.
All is good.

Thanks for this. I'd never heard of her.
His story is similar to Ramanujan. Bose sent his paper, rejected by scientific journals, to Einstein who saw in it something revolutionary, translated it to German & helped get it published.
From that came his work w/ Einstein & the rest.
(Ramanujan sent his work to Hardy @ Cambridge)
Thank you!
Satyendra Nath Bose (1894โ1974) was a brilliant Indian theoretical physicist/polymath. He revolutionized quantum mechanics in 1924, developing Bose-Einstein statistics & predicting the Bose-Einstein condensate.
Einstein was 1st to recognize his brilliance.
Bosons are named for him. ๐งช
Ok. I admit it ... I just committed cardinal sin #1: I forwarded an X link.
Someone here suggested XCancel. I'll look into it.
In the meantime, I'll delete the offending link and create a new post.
Stay tuned ...

Yeah, I get that. And I haven't read that paper, either. I'm assuming it's not entirely a hair-brained suggestion.
Like I said, I'll be watching what happens from here.
Good advice!
Haven't read the new paper.
But ... That there is even a challenge presented by dark matter is interesting.
And you are right, if dark matter works that way, and is a mass-for-mass equivalence to black holes, then repulsion presents its own challenge.
Should be fun to watch!
THIS IS THE BEST!!
Please pass around.

Wow! What an upset.
Imagine ... we've put giant black holes at the center of galaxies like Sagittarius A* since ~1970. And now, it looks like it could be dark matter.
Wild. I'll be watching this topic with interest.

Ok. I'm in.
And I'm already salivating at the idea of our (maybe?!) May adventure aX Nevada to the Great Basin and then on to .... Sundance! I hope we can do that. ๐ค
Ah... that's what I like so much about you ... it doesn't take much to keep you entertained! ;-)
I'm trying to get strong for our trip. Geez ... it's tough. I really hope I don't ruin it for you by being too soft. ๐
Everyone ... gd read the X post that is linked below. It describes fascinating research into the changing constitution of breast milk in response to babies' needs, in part mediated by babies' saliva which makes its way upstream into the breast.
The woman who discovered this deserves the Nobel!

Calling @mariannedenton.bsky.social ....
Journalist Don Lemon has been arrested simply for covering events in Minnesota.
Toto, I've a very strong feeling we're not in Kansas anymore.
I think you mean a watermark, which is a great idea.
You don't have to be a dipshit to get fooled. I've been fooled many times. Now it's gotten to the point where I probably am not believing real videos.
Information transfer will eventually be indistinguishable from a random bit generator!
This morning, I woke up to this tragic news.
Does it tear you apart the way it does me? ๐ ๐ ๐
Is there a living soul anywhere who actually believes there will be places on the Earth where one could escape the catastrophic consequences of such a future?
We need a wholesome planet, not AI.

Not true for 'early' Tesla's. Some manufacturers are safer (Toyota, for instance) than others when it comes to batteries.
So, my question is: where do the Chinese stack up in that contest?
My one big concern is: what kind of batteries does this vehicle use and are they safe?
The big question is: Why, when this was obvious a long, long time ago, was nothing done about it?!!
It's been equivalent to waiting for someone to get killed at a road intersection before saying something about the evident need for a traffic control light.
