The Stonewall Inn released a response to the National Parks Service removing the word transgender from the park outside of the Inn. A great reminder that we have to look after each other

Overall I wish the order was larger but i do understand the cancellation of course (delivery issues & fed funding) but the old trains are shockingly tired feeling and the layout adds to perception of lacking safety imo

Thoughts on the trains overall:
• Noticeably roomy & nicely laid out
• Amazing HVAC
• Announcement tone is deafeningly loud lol that can be fixed tho
• Cute old school sounding train whistle haha
• I wish it was open gangway all through instead of married pairs but its fine

Paris RER E extension—linking central Paris w/ La Défense & Nanterre, west of city, finally began providing regular service yesterday (Mantes extension opens 2026). RER E previously connected eastern suburbs w/ city center.

Trains run every 4 min & will carry 650,000 daily riders, up from 370,000.

In most of the world, grocery is a very competitive sector. Rather than reëstablish the East German Handelsorganisation and Konsum, maybe it would be better to examine the barriers that make large grocers reluctant to set up shop in most of NYC when they do so in other cities.

Put aside the convo of whether it’s “good” or “bad” for a moment. The far right has devoted enormous resources + time to building echo chambers & loathes spaces they don’t control
