Also, he:
1. demanded the 9-shaped candle from sister’s birthday
2. blew out candles
3. ate one bite of cupcake
4. went and got his new Hot Wheels™️ Mid-Air Collision Stunt Track
5. refused to come back and eat more cupcake until it was time to start bedtime, at which point he NEEDED cupcake

Only slight regrets on the voice-changing megaphone gift, he’s so happy

Younger child is 4! He has grudgingly forgiven us for not fulfilling his “burgers for breakfast in bed” request

(His first words to me this morning: “remember that time we forgot to make burgers?”)

Now we’ve moved on to racing up and down this ramp, which we’ve been doing for two years but used to be a mama steam train and baby steam train, and now we’re Mario and Yoshi and using my phone stopwatch

Preschooler into hide and seek these days, which unfortunately he wants to play in public places where we’re waiting while 9yo does activities, hope the other parents are enjoying hearing him yelling at me to find a better spot

Birthday weekend part 2: STOMP matinee, then 4pm dinner at an old favorite restaurant, with 15-layer crepe cake to go. 9yo had a great time, preschooler…did okay for a preschooler at a show

Coming in to the end of February break, beginning of wife birthday weekend

9yo just called a fluffernutter a “nut and fluff”

3yo has taken advantage of the distraction to watch Minecraft videos on YouTube

Nooo, I’m glad you’re mostly better! We have lots of meds and are optimistic 🤞🏻

9yo was doing so good today, almost completely perked back up one day after flu plus pneumonia diagnosis

This a.m. my wife told her to get dressed, and she changed from her overnight shortie pjs into a fresh set of shortie pjs, plus mermaid tail blanket.

And then she practiced recorder a while.

Friend who works at the local hospital says that the fire alarms are malfunctioning and going off continuously, so we’re gonna hold off on the ER unless absolutely necessary 😭 (seems like she didn’t eat the seeds and is okay🤞🏻)

The toast that I gave 9yo with her antibiotics was cross-contaminated with sesame seeds, to which she is anaphylacticly allergic, we are having a time over here

I thought I got over the cold, but now 9yo and I both have flu a and/or pneumonia
