Clawr blaen 'Y Tylwyth Annheg' gan Huw Aaron (addasiad Elidir Jones). Cover of 'Y Tylwyth Annheg', Elidir Jones's Welsh-language adaptation of Huw Aaron's 'Unfairies'.
Ro'n i'n meddwl fy mod i wedi gwneud fy addasiad ola - ond pan mae Huw Aaron yn galw, dach chi'n ateb.
Mae 'Y Tylwyth Annheg' yn mhob siop lyfrau dda rŵan. Penolau pryfed! Madarch! Perygl peryglus! Mae gan hwn y cyfan.
Croeso i'r Ardd, a hir oes i'r Llyffant Anfarwol.

Tawny owl
Six weeks ago, I picked up a year-old tawny owl with a broken leg off the main road near our home and dropped him off at our nearest vet.
After a few days, I received one of the most bizarre phone calls I’ve ever had, asking “So when are you coming to pick up your owl?” 🧵

Fun fact: fi wnaeth isdeitlo hwn. Dyna'r day job bellach. Joio.
And finally, one of our favourite songs from the early years, re-recorded as a last hurrah.
We still have half a concept album written, as well as a desperate need to be loved, so a comeback isn't out of the question some day. But for now, see you on the moon.

Still time for a couple of final singles. Heddiw is something of an oddity - a bit more electronic-y than we're used to, but still grand. It also features cornet player Sean on lead vocals in the chorus for the first time. He waited this long to show off those pipes.

Our final album, Tangnefedd, is my personal favourite. I unconditionally love 90% of it. Too many highlights to mention, but why not start with the Queens Of The Stone Age-y / vaguely Britpop-ish Hanner Call? That outro, man.

The band generally considers the Lliwiau EP to be our best work, pound for pound. C.O.B. (Cofio O'r Blaen) may be my favourite PD song ever, but Eliffantod yr Anialwch is also worth a shout - even if only for the video, filmed when we inexplicably toured in the Netherlands.

Next up, obviously, was a Christmas-themed double A side. Nadolig Llawen is a lovely mellow time, but Pwy Sy'n Dwad Dros Y Bryn, a cover of a Welsh children's Christmas carol, went down a storm. I think this is the most punk we've ever sounded.

Our second album Distewch, Llawenhewch didn't make much of an impact, with the lead single openly derided by a prominent Radio Wales DJ. But we had our fun, and that's all that matters. I still marvel at our 26-year-old brass balls when I listen to this 13-minute epic.

Probably our second-biggest smash hit, triple platinum banger, Yn y Bore was a cover of a song by comedic / musical geniuses Ryan and Ronnie, and played ad nauseum on BBC Radio Cymru, despite only being featured on an obscure radio session.

Lots to like about our first album, Y Capel Hyfryd, but this is my personal favourite. By far our best performance on much-missed S4C alternative music show Bandit, featuring a pre-megastardom Cate Le Bon on vocals.

Today marks 20 years since my band Plant Duw's first gig. We toured for 14 years - mainly in a tiny Volkswagen Lupo - and had a blast. What better time to look back at some career highlights?
Starting with our 'big hit'. That solo is 18 years old now. Old enough to drink.

I live in Ponty too. I currently have a few lovely water features inside my house. You could have white water rafted through my garden in January 2021. We're allowed to be angry at Labour's lack of action on this. We all know that if this was happening in London, the money would be found to fix it.
My thoughts go out to all those impacted by flooding, and more than anything, I hope everyone impacted is safe. After the devastating floods of 2020, Labour refused to hold an independent inquiry into flooding in Wales despite calling for one in England. With flooding becoming more extreme and more frequent, we must make sure this time that lessons are learnt and greater support given to communities. My team and I will be focused today and in the coming days in providing practical support to those impacted, but in the Senedd, I will continue to be a voice for flooded communities and continue to campaign on the issue. My email address is Heledd.Fychan@Senedd.Cymru and office number is 01443 853214.
Statement re flooding in South Wales Central ⬇️
But if Labour's complacent attitude on this doesn't change, Pontypridd is going to keep getting hit by this, over and over again. The Labour members of RCT council voted unanimously against an inquiry into flooding. Are we not allowed to challenge that?

In 1996, aged 11. Read my dad's old copy of LOTR after heading some school friends gush about it. Dad's old bookmark was still in there to mark where he'd given up (soon after Glorfindel arrives).
Ie, edrych yn grêt.

Seen him seven times. All marvellous.
Delyth and I saw him in Hyde Park last year, on a beautiful, sunny day. At the bit in Mary's Place where he sings "Let it rain" over and over again, it started pissing down, and ended very soon after he finished. It seems even God listens to The Boss.
