okay, I agree with all of that (and I'm glad you are no longer confused about what ICE is). But there is still going to be a new DHS director in the next few weeks and even among people Trump might pick, there are people who would do less harm than Mullin.
I think fascism is the final boss of all economic systems operated on a large scale. I don't think humans are capable of organizing at this scale without a group of them taking power and fucking over everybody else. The former Eastern Bloc is pretty good evidence of the communist version of this

My friend, you said it's not okay to call the choice for DHS secretary a bad choice. That's a weird thing to think if you're not a Trump supporter.
I'm defending ICE? Where am I defending ICE? If you think saying "the worst people in the world should not be in charge of DHS," is defending ICE, then you're not worth talking to.

This is not what bail reform is supposed to mean. They hear any word and they think, "how can we use this to hurt people?"
They don't think that women should serve in the military and they probably don't think service members should bring their spouses to "overseas foreign regions" to protect them, so this makes a ton of (evil) sense

It's a bad strategy to criticize the secret police, but not criticize who they put in charge of DHS. DHS is bad agency, but it's more than just the secret police. As long as it exists it should not be run by the worst people.
