Can you blame him? What's next, requiring them to obey the law?
@mannythemollusk
Multivalent mollusk into Sens, brains, minds, numbers, drums, cameras, photos, human and molluskular decency. Never argumentative. Nope. Sometimes I have a potty radula.๐ฅณ๐ณ๏ธโ๐๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ๐
Can you blame him? What's next, requiring them to obey the law?
I know coasting is technically a skating skill but for some reason imho the Sens decided to start relying on it a little too much in the 3rd.
Never mind how terrible that stuff is for the ozone layer.
Go Gritty! Sincerely, sad Sens fan. :(
With just mid goaltending this would be a top 3 team in the east.
But yeah, not a big fan here of homophobic mid goaltending.
Those carbon fiber sticks aren't cheap. They need protection.
All they need to do is promote Spence.
Then we'll be able to track any actual progress they make toward becoming a serious NHL hockey club.
Maybe a "Throat Stomper" stat too. They have the killer instinct of a '60's love culture monarch butterfly.
"Oh, we're not sharing the puck with you? Our bad. Here, have a couple goals instead ๐."
This is what these guys do. I think I'm gonna cancel my Evolving Hockey account. I don't GAF about this team's analytics anymore. They're pointless. Someone needs to come up with a stat for "finds ways to lose games that non-shitty teams will find ways to win".
Did you win some kind of lottery?
That's a perfectly legitimate position to hold. Not sure why you're speaking to sports fans, though. Enjoy the interaction but you'll find that 99.9% don't really gaf about your opinion. That's not a rhetorical "don't gaf". They really, truly don't care. And I'm not sure why you'd expect them to.
They go on a run, play us for suckers & dangle a glimmer of hope. Then kill it. This will be 1/8 points in their last 4 gp.
Somebody wake me up when they're 10 games over .500 (the real .500). I'm losing my will to gaf.
According to Evolving Hockey a couple of nights ago they were analytically the second best team in the league behind Colorado if you discount the goaltending (Gยฑ Components: Shot Volume + Shot Quality + Shooting).
4th according to MoneyPuck's Deserve-to-Win Power Rating (with goaltending removed).
This is getting so old. Said the same thing just before they got on the now extinct hot streak. This team has absolutely zero killer instinct. It doesn't matter how well they play otherwise, they will overturn every stone finding ways to lose games that half decent teams will find ways to win.
Then we need to change the rules.
I'm not even sure why we have goalie interference rules if that's not gonna get called. ๐
Whether you like them, or not, 0 cal beverages do not contribute to obesity. Yes, there are far better beverages to consume but stop making shit up to advance whatever horseshjt nutrition narrative you happen to riding today.
I think I was closer to the points you made, lol. Same with my other post today on Zetterlund.
Woot! (still haven't listened yet, had to make dinner)
I guess my long-winded reply was triggered more by an accumulation of different people commenting & criticizing Zetterlund for a variety of different reasons. One thing very few people question about him is his work ethic and likable character and that's probably part of the need to defend him.๐
(Nopw I'll watch the video to see how close I am to McGuire.)
He's no longer a defensive liability. Offensive impact is off the charts compared to the next closest D (Spence & Sandy) & his overall impact is also #1 on the team by a margin. 16th in the NHL among D in GAR/60. 7th offensively. Right where he almost always is.
(All based on E-H's GAR model.)
Chabot has been a star & underrated for years. His game isn't flashy enough for most fans to get it. We see turnovers, D- zone gaffes. But not how he tilts the entire sheet of ice when he steps onto it. Play driving, zone exits & entries, moving the puck up ice, holding the line & QB'ing the cycle.
With all that dirt and all those geese, really everything should basically be free here.
If anything it looks like they're benefiting from him.
With him on the first line, the team has two highly skilled/productive top 6 lines. Huge impact & makes them a lot harder to defend.
Deployment matters.
In terms of overall impact on the team, the guy's been a force & is only getting better.
The Sens' top F line this year has been 7-18-20, whether you look solely at offense (xGF/60) or overall (xGยฑ/60).
7 & 18 actually got *better* after Bath was moved to L2 with Cozens and FZ was added to their line.
So nobody better claim that he's just benefiting from his linemates.
I don't even know what that means.
2 of the Sens' top 3 fwd pairs (FZ with 7 and with 18) by possession include Zetterland (Cยฑ/60, 100+ min TOI).
Let that sink in. (Zetterland + 18) and (Zetterland + 7) have both been better at controlling possession & generating shot attempts than (7 + 18).
It sure looks that way.
And leaving his face bloodied.
Wait until you are retired and live outside the city. There's literally no reason not to walk around looking like Sasquatch.
