For the longest time, I kept thinking that DUNE PART 2 must have been a pretty meh movie, since I could not remember a thing about it.
So today, I decided to watch PART 1 and PART 2 again. And I realized…I’ve never actually *watched* PART 2 before. NOTHING was familiar.
And…it’s pretty damn good.

Masks to prevent disease: GOOD
Masks to avoid accountability for crimes: BAD
Not so hard to figure out, IMO.

At first I read your last word as "institutionalized," which I think may be more appropriate.

(In all seriousness, I thank him for his service.)

Everything -- literally EVERYTHING -- in his world is happening, will happen, or is likely to happen in "two weeks." Infrastructure plan? 2 weeks. Health care plan? 2 weeks.
It's because he knows that in 2 weeks, another distraction (or 235) will make everyone forget.

Not an affair, sexual harassment.
He needs to resign.

A) It wasn't an "affair," it was sexual harassment.
2.) This isn't good enough. He needs to resign today.
Third, what a dick.

I'm not gonna chastise Mullin for this picture, simply because Jan6 was a TERRIFYING experience, and especially for those trapped inside the Capital. That said, his actions SINCE -- especially his unwillingness to hold anyone accountable for Jan6 -- definitely DO deserve derision.

He's not the only one, Leavitt started using Defense in her presser. The word must have come down from up above (i.e., Stephenosferatu Miller) that "Secretary of War" and "Department of War" were out, since we can't call it a "war," even though....it's a war.

"[M]ost shamelessly incompetent and cruel Homeland Security Secretary in U.S. History" SO FAR, Governor.
There are MOUNTAINS of GOP hopefuls waiting to be worse.
Oh, and you really should rethink your anti-trans stances. Love is love, people are people.

Nope.
It's that SOMEBODY pocketed $140 million of that $200 million, and it WASN'T A TRUMP.
That's the ultimate betrayal.

Also, too: What's his attitude about January 6 NOW? Does he still think it was a riot and the people responsible (not just the rioters, but the guy who fomented the insurrection) should be jailed, or is he OK with their being pardoned by that same guy who fomented the insurrection?

MarkWayne Mullin’s first name is a lot like Platner’s tattoo—you can offer semi-reasonable explanations for why he has it in the first place, but every day he doesn’t wake up and get rid of it is a moral failure

Where was that Senator when she was having her confirmation hearings last year?
His change of heart is a positive sign of cracks in the GOP dike, but the water still hasn't reached more than a trickle.

I went to Amsterdam a couple of years ago (mostly for the Van Gogh and Rejksmuseum), and said to folks when I came back that that town just reminded me of my college dorm: beer and weed.
I got a little teary eyed.

She could easily have used the most recognizable (and appropriate) Orwell quote:

I caught a few clips of Karo-Lyin' Leavitt's presser yesterday, and she *pointedly* was calling Kegbreath the Secretary of *Defense*, likely so as to not have that point made.

I'm assuming Mullin will have to be approved by the Senate?
Of course, they'll probably be happy to see him go, but they'll also be sure to note how mind-numbingly stupid he is.
