That is what it’s all about.
That is what it’s all about.
It’s a mind game for sure, but if you commit to one piece a year that will amortize it out in a way that seems less crazy. I have and wear regularly (in the spring/summer) my first real bespoke suit. Love it and that was from 2014 or so.
That is the best. Especially as it ages. You remember the process and the person more than the garment.
Just get a few things that fit well and keep wearing them. Some of my favorite things are the oldest.
It’s a low fire porcelain from a buddy in Portland OR. PDX Ceramics
Thank you Olga, I am finally getting them hemmed, so it won’t be there for too much longer.
All the players came, from far and wide. Flannel, chambray and denim.
Nice. It’s a good all around look that can be dressed up with a black turtleneck and wool trousers too (for dinner)
Tweed
Definitely my favorite tweed. It’s just the right combination of cut, fit, details, color and texture.

This one is Bespoke from Ercole’s in Brooklyn, but O’Connell’s in Buffalo carries single breasted versions that are nice.
Blazer with western shirt and whipcords.
Layers
Weekend.
Thank you. These are old, maybe 80’s Levi’s 501’s and the seat is not great, but they were also 25$ on eBay so it’s a wash for me.
Corduroy, cashmere and denim.

It really is and fit straight out of the box too. Wythe for the win. 🏆
Shetland wool
Wool, Shetland wool.
I have read that they are fine to use, it’s the more elaborate finishes and colors that have higher levels of lead in them. Still, it won’t be my daily driver for sure.
Fire King 👑. I do worry about lead with mine, have you had yours tested?
Still tweed. Still flannel. Still snowing. Still Spring is coming.

Thank you. 🙏
I’m going to, (someday) get a summer version so I can wear a fit like this.
