What’s probably more realistic is a offical emulation app that’s connected to Switch Online imo.

The recent potential rise of pocketable controllers such as Mcon and abxylute M4 controllers, might be the things that’ll make mobile gaming more appealing for traditional console experiences.

I don’t think it’ll happen since one of the main ideas of Nintendo Switch was to reduce the load of having to maintain two different ecosystems with entirely different infrastructures into just maintaining one.

The hybrid nature meant that Switch could combine two audiences into one audience.

Yeah I'm honestly dreading that, especially with the resort building which could've been really cool opportunity to have improved dialogue and more fun stuff in relation to the resort context. Even better if the developers just actually listened to the feedback of dialogue for once.

And the Collab DLC seems okay?

The only thing that I kinda like is the Lego furniture theme, which I like that it brings back the whimsy of older Animal Crossing furniture😭

I really wished that they'd at least focus more on bringing the older furniture into Switch era.

New feature where you get to design a island from scratch is cool but you still have to do terrain features by hand, which feels counterintuitive.

And the new resort facility feels like the trial version of Happy Home Paradise DLC, that doesn't offer anything new for those who have the DLC.

To be honest, I really wished that this was released much earlier on.

It honestly feels way too lackluster especially for a update that was supposed to be released 4 years earlier. And fully knowing that ACNH's progression/dialogue/story leaves much to be desired.

Cause without all of that holo stuff going on around. It seems like it'd be difficult to tell which is a wild zone or not for catching Pokemon that don't normally appear across the city.

On top of that, you also had sections of city changing when a wild zone gets put up.

Agreed, I kinda don't like that it kinda makes the whole city feel like a weird petting zoo. And outside makes the city feel empty.

Although I think its due to designer's limitations, maybe that they couldn't figure out how to make it work, that's identifiable and flows well with progression.

I agree with this. Pokemon as a whole has been on a steady improvement for past decade after the low point of XY.

It's not even just the maps, but also extends to stuff like Pokemon battling and stats system which has been steadily made more accessible to make comp battling easier to get into.

I find them worse cause they manage to come off as smug and condescending. Even the catchphrases unintentionally come off as insults 💀

I just wish that the spin off games had more consistent human designs as like they were in the mainline games.

It's also a great change from having a stiff model to something that feels alive and more fitting to its personality as shown on promotional art.

I think this is like my favourite mega design so far. I love that it literally looks like a supervillain esp with the tentacles looking like a brain and sharp shoulders making it look like it’s scheming constantly.

Insanely cool of them to pull locations from little known areas of the series.

I really hope that they focus more on rarely seen locations of Sonic series instead of more crossover slop (Except for Pac-Man) 😭

There’s growing evidence that Disney/Pixar’s traditional funny animals/objects and princesses, are rapidly becoming irrelevant in today’s animated landscape where many kids/teens are gravitating towards to anime and mature stories.

And it’s due to their stories not respecting their audience.

I also believe that there’s the over-reliance on kids films that’s heavily restricting their creativity and capability to make meaningful stories.

If Disney and Pixar didn’t have to make animated films for kids. The world would be in a much better place.

And it also feels like the generation that was raised on 3DCGI films are now seeking more age appropriate films in the same medium.

And that’s probably why Pixar is floundering and struggling to capture new audiences, on top of their refusal to adapt their stories beyond their age range.

I think we’re definitely at a point of time where children oriented films are beginning to be outgrown and no longer seen as relevant, especially on top of a massive library that’s considered to be timeless that anybody can rewatch and easily experienced by new audiences.

There’s another issue with Pixar, is their sheer over-reliance over kids films which really heavily restricts their capability for storytelling.

And it feels like there’s definitely mandates that’s forcing their films to be dumbed down to be palatable for shareholders too.

This feels way too similar to be an evolution tbh. Megas are just basically same design but with exaggeration and extra features.

I also think this mega would’ve been really good as a redesign for the original though.

Can you pick any Pokemon and customise them, like Showdown or is it that you can only use your own Pokemon stored in a box?

I think having a major update for Pokemon HOME that has proper battling matches with your own Pokemon box would be quite big.

Would definitely make me pay for Pokemon Home at last, wouldn’t mind doing some actual Pokemon battles with real people on the go with my own Pokemon.
