Illegal & unsustainable taking remains a major threat to migratory species worldwide.

Stronger domestic measures, community engagement and coordinated global action are vital.

At #CMSCOP15, CMS Parties will consider new decisions and initiatives to tackle the problem: www.cms.int/document/281...

NNNS has a photographic group that holds talks once a month over the winter period so that Society members with a particular interest in wildlife photography can meet. On Tues 10th March 2026 it's the last meeting of the 2025/26 season, and its a 'show your own' theme.

Where are the trees?
We have A LOT of this landscape and less than 4% native woodland. This should be a rich mosaic of habitats, moor, bog, woodland, montane scrub…We force it to remain in this artificial state. We don’t need to give every inch of our uplands over to sheep, grouse and deer stalking.
