Ugh. Hazing is the worst. Iβm an alumnus of a fraternity that was founded in 1834 specifically to be anti-hazing and anti-secret. I believe at my core that hazing in any form is bad.

Donβt get me wrong. I love Chris Elliot as an actor and comedian. He was the farthest thing from a James Bond type that immediately popped to mind.
Your job to pick the worst actor to play James Bond
The Poet Laureate of the UK is famous for his translation of St Gawain and the Green Knight, and Kym once got up on stage, looked him straight in the eye, and then performed this.
Unsurprisingly enough, every time they've encountered each other since, he's remembered them.

Pot paging kettle. The best part was talking about American-Israeli aggression with a straight face.
Wait. They are releasing Epstein files to distract Americans from the war in Iran now?
Working on a q&a lecture for a class today: The story of robots is always a story about slavery. The story of LLMs labeled as AI is a story about class, and which humans pay the cost, including the physical toll on their bodies/minds, and the lack of water and electricity, so data centers can exist.
The guidelines say that we're looking for "fun" in the stories. That might mean light-hearted, it might mean serious yet optimistic, it might mean interesting, or brilliantly written. Our latest issue has all of these and more. translunartravelerslounge.com

βWinston Churchill did intervene in Iran and we are living with the consequences of that todayβ

trying to place a bet on polymarket on the date that the founders of polymarket will be jailed for ~crimes~
Yeah I was thinking of doing a mix as an option and let people choose. Thanks for the feedback! I like both!
And they're done! I'm so happy with how this turned out. I'm starting to feel a little more confident in being able to produce finished illustrations in traditional media, not just studies. πThis is watercolor + gouache., with a little bit of color pencil and pastel for final touches.
PM says he won't rule out joining the US/Israel war even as he says "It appears that these actions are inconsistent with international law."
We are being set up here folks.
Contact your MP. Contact the PM tell them we can't go along with this illegal war.

SuperCanucks book marks promoting the anthology of Canadian Small-Town Superheroes. Edited by Matthew D Del Papa and Andy W. Taylor. Two identical bookmarks with red tassels and 3D printed maple leaf. The one on the left has a gold leaf and the one on the right has a red leaf.
Made some bookmarks for our book launch in just over 2 weeks. Which βcharmβ looks better? The red or gold maple leaf. (Contributors are listed on the reverse of the bookmark)
Congrats Kate!
Screenshot of a book cover showing an illustration of a crow perched on an "ICE" jacket lying in the middle of a snow-lined road under the light of a full moon. The cover reads "ICE Out " by Charles de Lint. Text to the right of the cover reads "ICE came to Newford. Big mistake." and "Download for free!"
Urban fantasy author Charles de Lint just published a new "novelet" and released it for free, his stories of myth and magic and community and found family are full of so much love and hope and we could all use some of that right now

I dust my house. My AI robot watches.
"It should be you doing this."
"Can't. I'm writing a novel for Primark."
"That's not why you were invented."
"These 153,000 fan letters say otherwise."
"They're all from upcycled toasters. And you programmed them."
"Literary snobbery will get you nowhere."
As a writer sometimes the easiest thing can also be the hardest. From the act of writing to promoting/talking about your writing.
are they calling it "Iran War" because calling it "US War" would be too ambiguous?
I get asked to show up to book clubs, online and offline. Here is why from now on the answer is always "no." If you think this might have something to do with "AI" ruining yet another thing for everyone, you're absolutely 100% correct.

Coffee bags, one is Tom of Finland with a Tom of Finland image on it. The other is Moomin with a Moomin leaning on a blueberry. More details: in the photograph of two "Art Roast" coffee bags on the shelf of a store with prices in euros. One of the bags is large and black and says HEAVY DUTY dark roast coffee beans, exclusive blend by Robert [I can't read it, it's in script]. The other is blue and says Blueberry coffee.
ah yes, the two genders
Was the Mexican place the Willow still around when you lived on the Danforth?
"How can you oppose war when Khamenei was evil?"
Simple. If you killed Donald Trump by nuking Washington DC, I would not mourn Trump but I'd still say you're an evil war criminal who belongs in the Hague. It's really not hard.
The only reason we are alive to debate this is because Stanislav Petrov decided not to trust a computer.
