I think I'm just surprised that all of them (including Kurbanov) decided to be inconsistent at the same time. Given the field I felt like it was throwing spaghetti at the wall and having none of it stick.

I know the pommel givith and the pommel takeith but the top score was a 14.3 with Kurbanov, LCK, McClenaghan, Petrov, Targhetta, Ude, and De Rosa in the field. Only the first two of which even made the final.

All Things Gymnastics is reporting that the Crains are training in France for a few weeks because Lavi always wanted to do that. Is that the only way a GAGE girl could dream of visiting France was going there to train because no one in that world believed in vacations?

One thing to consider as the Russians re-enter rhythmic spaces. Whatever the truth is behind the Tsarina's character, she very clearly cares about her perception and legacy. We should expect different behavior from the Viner era.

In the Russian district champ scores are silly even by Russian standards Moscow Champs gave a gymnast 3 hoop scores between 30.85-31.8. Russian champs gave her a 25.

All of that said I don't know why the US brought 3 bars/beam girlies and didn't bring Reese. She would have scored better on floor than at least two of them and claire is repetitive on the team when you have Hezly and Charlie.

No. it's teams of 2 or 3 per gender. They have to do 2 apparatus during each round but can't repeat the same apparatus each round. So you don't have the danger having to deal with two beam falls or two high bar falls.

They're not the ones who decided not to include vault. That was dropped out of the discussion after feedback from Euros. They have removed a lot of the risk of having people have to do their apparatus the same in both rounds and using teams of 3 also diminishes the impact of falls.
