I do polls every month for a subscriber backed image, but only about 1/4 of the subscribers participate. I've considered stopping polls since few seem interested, but I like them, I like how they encourage me to create, so I've continued them.
So don't be discouraged! Fluctuation is normal.
It happens to me too. I lose about 1-3 subs a month, but I typically also gain 1-3 subs as well. I typically gain subs after a public post. So its more of a balance than a retention.
I think
1: Be consistent with posts, both paid and free ones.
2: Do stuff you want, not what you think others want.

I have a few characters with similar long back hair, and all of them have their hair combed back or it sticks backwards. I feel like hair combed forward with a back mane breaks the flow.
It happens on my iPad. Mostly in landscape after clicking full screen on a picture. Portrait mode seems more stable, and I have not had it happen on my pixel phone.

The dragon lays down to enjoy her "present". She smiles as she glances at her expanded abdomen.
The dragon has invited a friend over to unwrap presents the next day. She gives her friend a skull, one that she, "made herself".
Someone opened her present early. But she made up for it later. Though I have to ask: does this count as a re-gift?
