Her autobiography, 'Buri Aurat Ki Katha' (The Story of a Bad Woman), is not just the autobiography of a poet but the story of a whole generation of life as South Asian women.
Kishwar Naheed is one of the most prominent feminist poets in Urdu. She has a huge corpus to her credit, starting with her now classic first collection 'Lab e Goya' (Speaking Lips) which was published in 1968.
