Yeah, have heard reports of a lot of color bleeding even after soaking. But the colorways are just so pretty that I keep buying it, LOL. I once hand carded a bunch and got this beautiful muted almost labradorite color to the yarn.

This is beautiful! I always struggle with Malabrigo Nube roving. Have to steam and fluff and steam and fluff and so on. You have done a masterful job with this!
I continue to practice supported spindling. I really an finding preparation of fiber makes a huge difference. I am having a much easier time with rollags and punis than I was with straight combed top or roving for this style spinning. Who knows, long draw may be on the horizon! #handspinning ๐งถ
screenshot of wired post on their cover story. It's an image of two men, pictured only at the waist. Their flies are open and two hands are coming out of the flies and shaking hands. Text reads "Gay men have long been rumored to run Sillicon Valley. WIRED investigates. Inside the Gay Tech Mafia."
An image of a muscular man lying on his back. He is wearing tiny short shorts and his chest and legs are exposed. The San Fransciso Salesforce Tower is coming out of his crotch like a giant erect penis.
screenshot of the first paragraph of the story No one can say exactly when, or if, gay men started running Silicon Valley. They seem to have dominated its upper ranks at oleast the past five years, maybe more. On platforms like X, the clues are there: whispers of private-island retreats, tech exectuives going "gay for clout," and the suggestion that a "seed round" is not, strictly speaking, a financial term. It is an idea so taken for gratned, in fact, that when I called up a well-connected hedgefund mamager to ask his thoughts about what is someties referred to in industry circles as the "gay tech mafia," he audibly yawns. "Of course," he says. "This has always been the case."
Holy shit @wired.com story written by a woman positioning gay men as insidious and suggesting this marginalized group is suppressing the success of straight men in the industry. They've got tons of anonymous sources (what's their agenda?) and in the first graph they even say this might not be true!
Wait... what pill do I need to take to avoid that symptom of menopause?
look, the right wing's fever dream of the left is simply not true. no elected official no matter what their political persuasion is gong to go on TV and urge their constituents to read some hot man-on-man smut [aide whispers in my ear] wait what
Could not buy fast enough. These are so adorable!
That is stunning!
That looks like fun to make! Unrelated question: How do you like your Kromski Fantasia? I have been eyeballing getting one for a while now and am trying to get honest personal recommendations/reviews.
But will you try to juggle geese?
Absolutely agree. I have used mine so often this year. Yours is beautiful btw!
One of the best rants on the internet, really.
You look fabulous and the cloak is perfect on you.
What wheel did you upgrade to? (Asks a fellow Kiwi owner looking to upgrade.)
In case you wondered what rolling a natural 20 on a charisma check looked like in real life: I give you @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social meeting the sitting President, and getting a smile out of him brighter than his polished gold toilet.
Gorgeous!!!
Gorgeous ๐!!!
I am, like, oddly emotionally invested in you finishing this project and seeing the final results. It's been a delight seeing the progress. Absolutely gorgeous colorway for this
Steaming it was a game changer for me with Malabrigo Nube. I bought a ton of it for a blanket project so I have also been experimenting running it through the drum carder to make batts or hand carding rollags of it. Both have interesting results on the color ways.
Oh, it's Malabrigo Nube causing you to struggle. I recommend getting an inexpensive steamer and steaming the Nube roving to open up the fibers a bit. And even THEN you still have to prep it more and pull at it to fluff it up. Predrafting is your friend here. Good luck!

Great episode. Laughed so hard I almost needed an oxygen tank.
I love watching the progress on this
Support spindle wound with yarn single haphazardly.
Finally able to spin supported without it looking like I am juggling for the first time. Have no idea what I am doing when it comes to winding the temp cop to the standard cop, but, hey, PROGRESS! Wool from @knitterkim.bsky.social in Huntr/x - K-Pop Demon Hunters. ๐งถ #handspinning ##yarnspinning
But did you mean band or primate?
100% this!

I am so sorry for your loss. ๐
Hello!!!
I don't think most people realize he's talking about force against US citizens.
