This one is 7 years old now and very much on its last legs. Though on the upside it’s too old to be eligible for the latest iOS upgrade so I don’t have to suffer the new liquid glass UI.
Yeah. Something janky in WebKit I suspect, since all browsers on iOS have to use the Apple/Safari engine.

Oddly, in both Safari and Firefox on my Mac when using the responsive design mode to simulate the device size of the iPhone it displays like your screenshot.
Seems like an issue with the survey theme stylesheet. I hooked up my iPhone to my MacBook to get the live web inspector and it seems the media query in the stylesheet is being ignored. Firefox on iOS also had the same issue (which isn't surprising as everything on iOS is all webkit)
Absolutely no assistive/alternative settings applied.

Aha. I’d just never seen it before in an R workflow so wasn’t sure what its purpose was but if it’s getting used like .Renviron then no harm in adding it.
