I actually have no idea if I can say I’m fluent in Spanish or not. I now use it with my partner 95% of the time, and it doesn’t feel too tiring, but I still think I suck at it 😂

I mean the icy winter is ending. Now we are moving onto slushy winter, which could last until May haha

In good news though, winter is finally ending here, with tempreratures around 0C, and my room humidity has risen to 27%!

Regarding my Japanese focus: it’s now March and I still haven’t moved onto Mandarin. I’m enjoying my weekly Japanese italki lessons too much, I wanna keep taking them. Had one just now. Starting from tomorrow though, I’ll add Mandarin to my routine as well as my low priority / maintenance languages

Well Maopin’s grad will probably be late autumn, it’s too early to be thinking of that right now. Whether I will be going to Japan or Singapore/Malaysia next autumn/winter season or not, that might not even depend on me. The world is too unpredictable

I mean in some cases it might be excessive, but most of the time when people say this, it’s because someone expressed a concern for a first time. I have missed a job opportunity because the interviewer assumed incorrectly I were shy. “Who cares what others think?” I care! I wanted that job!

I hate it when people say “you care too much what other people think”. What else are we supposed to be thinking of? The feelings of rocks and stones? We are human beings living among fellow human beings, trying to have relationships and jobs and whatnot. OF COURSE it matters!

I tried playing the Sims 4 once, named my character Marina Bay, she had cats called Merlion, Kaya, and maybe one more but I can’t remember the name, something Singapore related as well 😂

My grammar was quite horrible, and I hesitated so much while simultaneously talking too fast, but it looked like the teacher understood everything I said, so I'm proud of this effort. I think when I speak it's quite clear I've listened to it waaaay more than ever spoken it 😄

I just had a 45 min solo Japanese lesson, normally it's a duo one, but the other person had to skip it. We talked about Polyglot Gathering and Japanese reality shows. This was my most intense Japanese conversation ever. My previous experiences (not so many) were all in a group setting (3+ people)

What a coincidence, the person who sold this calendar to me just messaged me (without me asking first) saying the package got sent back to them, and is offering to send it again with this year's calendar, that's very kind (I don't blame them on the issue at all, our postal services suck)

When I search youtube for Kuala Lumpur travel videos, it’s people from all over the world going “look at this magnificent temple” and “you have got to see this skyline” but the same search for Johor Bahru (Malaysian city at Singapore border) and it’s just Singaporeans showing food close-ups 😆

I've often had side accounts for different purposes, and I always just end up using one 😄

After weeks of 20% indoors humidity (not sure how long exactly, I bought my weather station a couple of weeks ago) I finally have 23% in my room and I'm so happy

Just to clarify, I'm interested in both languages, but right now I'm more interested in Malaysia (and Singapore) as a travel destination than Indonesia. I already started learning Indonesian before, but my level is so low, I can't even tell the two languages apart (just some words), they're so alike
