maybe a sum of it is that you take an advantage of the technology (ability to have high C-rates) and paint it as a disadvantage.

Also a large battery makes costs for advanced BMS or for thermal management of outdoor batteries relatively small and the low C-rate turns stuff that wears batteries or makes them unusable into non-issues (differing and increasing internal resistance, time spent close to cell voltage limits).

BTW far greater li-ion risk already in homes are improperly handled tools' batteries, they are:
- of high C-rate
- operated at full voltage range
- stored often at unsustainable conditions and outside of good temperature ranges
- without monitoring that would report faulty cells and warn in advance

Also, the people with highest need of therapy are the ones most likely to deny it.

How much is therapy as compared to wages in Canada? I've only been a couple of times in my life because it's so expensive (and I can't imagine it being any better if insurers don't help and the psychologists themselves are to have meaningful income, too).

I don't see much difference in risks with different sizes. On the contrary, since a large battery needs a low C-rate, it can have its cells optimized for other things (longevity, fire risk, energy density).

Why on earth would you buy 4MW inverters/chargers (assuming battery is 4C) when all you need tens of kW?

Mám pár starých Minolta MF objektivů, čas od času se dívám, jestli už je na nějakou bezzrcadlovku redukce, která by uměla fungovat i s preferencí clony (aby člověk ostřil při plně otevřené cloně), ale zatím furt nic. 🙁

Firefox taky žere. Tab discard to dělá použitelným co do RAM, ale zas je to nekomfort, že se ti taby neudrží načtený. 🤷‍♂️

Chápu i nechápu: prostředí samotný a utility opravdu nemají být co žravý a na to by stačily klidně 2-4 GB i teď. Nicméně pak člověk pustí prohlížeč 😜 a tam si funkčnost v 6 gigách umím představit jen s obtěžujícím tam discardem.

Dá, ale zrovna se to řešilo v turbulentní době ohledně ÚP, takže by se klidně mohlo stát, že ještě teď by se čekalo na razítko. 🤷‍♂️

V roce 2021 jsem kupoval kolo s 3x9 a vážně jsem už uvažoval o "downgradu" na 3x8 poté, co Shimano udělalo 8sp CS-HG400 11-40 a s touhle šíleností kompatibilní hazku.

(I když vlastně možná bych tohle mohl napřed dát ženě, která na 3x8 odmítá používat smyk, aby se jí zvětšil efektivní rozsah)

Pak by se hodil ještě jeden elektrický motor na vstupní hřídel sudých kvaltů, tam by mohl přes dvojku řešit rozjezdy, plazení se a zpátečku a ve vyšších rychlostech odebírat energii z turba, aby si vystačilo mimo poruchy s fixní geometrií a za odměnu by odpadlo
