I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

Senate Republicans just introduced a plan in their Big Ugly Bill to sell off 250 MILLION acres of OUR public lands.
We must stop it.
If this bill passes, our public lands will fall into the hands of fossil fuel interests.
This would be the largest public lands sell-off in modern U.S. history and it's happening with no hearings, no debate, and no public input.

ICE just arrested Brad Lander, the NYC Comptroller and one of the leading candidates for Mayor, without grounds.
He was conducting routine immigration court work, escorting individuals from hearings.
He asked ICE for their warrant - well within his legal rights.
This is political intimidation.
The claims that McIver, Padilla, and Lander were committing assault should make you question every other time LEOs claim assault or resisting arrest, if you weren’t already.

NYC Comptroller Brad Lander was forcibly detained inside an immigration court building Tuesday morning by masked federal agents as he attempted to escort a man from his court appearance there.
In the chaotic scene at around noon, Lander asked the agents repeatedly to show a judicial warrant.

They’re cranking up the propaganda machine again: claiming Brad Lander “unlawfully interfered” and that ICE is just “enforcing Trump’s policy.” Reality: Lander stood up for civil rights. ICE’s conduct reflects a deeply troubling use of federal power.
Lander and Padilla have set the standard that absolutely every Democratic politician should meet or exceed if they don't want to get primaried.
