Oh, yes. It's what I'm working on now. Writing the novel helps me deal with the stress. Is your son's story idea nonfiction or fiction w/ lacrosse as a central theme?

Club has been the only option until now. Tennessee only sanctioned lacrosse as a state sport last year 24/25. Bigger cities support lax, but we moved. It is slow-going. Lots of adults dont know what it is, or if they do, they are dismissive, e.g. nobody's interested in that here.

Lacrosse is a struggle where we live. This is the first year our area has had a high school team and three schools got permission to tri-op to make that happen. Our non-profit club had to raise money to fund it as a grantor to get the lead public school to say yes. Its incredibly frustrating.

Agree! My son's 8th grade class reading The Outsiders this year. He has said boys will bypass books based solely on the cover art. Boys aren't illustrated, so the book is dismissed as not not having male characters.

Reposting this for all our fellow writers out there querying in January. Keep your head up! A new year is a perfect space for new opportunities, and querying is one of the pathways to get there. :)
