Think that Thich Naht Hahn was the best mediation I tried to follow, he’d say stuff like ‘hello my little fear, how are you today?’ and be cool about how hard it is to actually clear your mind
It didn’t seem like a pleasurable or meditative experience, more switching off for stats - freedom from distraction is hard to achieve, your thoughts will still be there. Maybe the kid should try meditation, and ponder his inner world
Thinking about YT video I saw about a kid (like 20 or something) challenging himself to just sit and do nothing for 2 hours (with a timer) as an attempt to be free of distraction. Not quite sure if it’s the best strategy
