I'm sure if Americans drank less coffee & more tea they'd be a lot less aggresive.

I did a thing. I spent six years writing a novel, and it launches on Monday 3/9. It will be on kindle, paperback, and you can even request it at bookstores and libraries! I hope you will check it out, and please help me share this!

Mine too! One of the main reasons I learnt to play the guitar was because of Cavatina, which I can just about play now. It's much harder to play than it sounds. But that's probably an indication of John Williams' talent.
I've got that John Williams CD. There's some good stuff on there.
Got it thanks!
I got a true peak limiter & that allows you to set the max intended LUFS, which I set to -14, but it doesn't stop it going above that level, just shows it in red. I guess it's not easy for software to stop it going above it, in the same way as setting max db's threshold. But it's all beyond me.
It seems my New Year's message was unduly optimistic.
I just bought a new limiter that measures the LUFS. I don't really know what it means though. I set the max level to -1.5dB but that doesn't seem to relate to the LUFS which go above -14 occasionally.
That was Lindsey Buckingham's idea. He didn't want to repeat Rumour's smooth sound so made some really lo-fi sounding tracks, but then, to aim for some hit singles I suppose, they had lusher sounding songs in between. Strange idea but I think it worked really well.
Was "Tusk" really expensive? Both great albums anyway. I'm sure there's been some crap albums that cost a fortune but I can't think of anything at the moment.
It's always been pretty useless on here for me. It seems like the algorithm only shows my posts to a handful of people. I always think "what's the point", but then again it doesn't cost anything so I still post anything that pops into my head if it makes me laugh to myself.
Every time I post something that doesn't get any likes, a part of me dies inside. Probably part of the appendix or one of those organs that don't serve any practical purpose.
Spring is sprung.
Cheers ๐ป.
I've no idea what Wavelab's "phasescope" is for, but it looks rather lovely with the eBow'ed guitar on my latest track.
It's certainly emotional. One of my favourite solo's.
Great guitar sound on that! I was going to say that exact same thing about the Frank Zappa album you posted earlier.
I'll bear all that in mind. Cheers!
"out of phase" sounds bad but is it indicating that something's wrong? I can hear the sound shifting left & right with the graphics but it seems to add colour to the sound & makes it sound better to me. It's not intentional though, just how it comes out.
There's a rather fat woman does one of the classes. Actually one of the teachers is pretty fat. They always give options if the poses are too difficult. I'm not very flexible so struggle with some of the leg positions. But a lot of the exercises are really for good for the back.
I used to got occasional bouts of back pain & someone suggested I try yoga. I've been doing that for a year & a half & not had any periods of back pain since (compared to 3 or 4 the previous year).

This one's 13 minutes. But it does seem to take longer every time I do it (I'm up to version 13 now!). I think it's nearly there now though ๐
I recorded it the other week but I can't remember what channel it was on. Might be SkyArts? And I'm not certain it's the John Hurt version either (there are others). I'll have to have a look.
It's now taking 8 minutes to do an 'export audio' on my latest mix! I imagine the time it takes is proportional to the awesomeness of the music.
Not films exactly, but the BBC used to often put a ghost story on around Christmas time. "Whistle and I'll Come to You" with John Hurt was a good one but I think "The Secret of Crickley Hall" was my favourite. And "Remember Me" with Michael Palin really gave me the shivers.
Probably my favourite Genesis track. Really complicated but somehow manages to sound like pop music.
I listened to that last year. Really good I thought. As good as Fairport Convention. "Banks of the Nile" was the highlight for me. Sandy Denny's singing just makes me want to cry.

Could work
Swiss roll it is then!!! ๐
