Dear #WalgreensPharmacy, while I appreciate the fun game we've had this past 8 days of will they or won't they, I don't really need waiting until I'm completely out of daily med before processing the script added to my worries. My brain can make plenty of those on it's own.
This is such an important issue. Civil legal services are vital to regular folx being able to protect their rights. Our court system should not only be accessible to those who can pay hundreds of dollars an hour for private counsel.
Despite doing similar work, NYS civil legal services attorneys are paid significantly less than their government-funded comparable legal positions.

Mammograms don't catch all cancer. We like to pretend they do.
I got mammos for 5 years. At 45 I was diagnosed with de Novo MBC. I was told I had dense cysty breasts and thought I was okay because mammos! Early detection works great if you are eligible age and have the right type of breast tissue.
I was diagnosed de Novo. A lot of us were. This question always feels blaming to me, along with "weren't you getting mammograms?". I was, it didn't help.

In the end I decided to ring the bell after all. I made it through this chapter - surgery and radiation. Plus it's really important to my family, especially kiddo. I know the bell is controversial for stage 4, but I think it's still important to celebrate milestones. #mbc #cansky #oncsky
My dog's first experience with big snow. He does not like snow plows. As evidenced by the last hour of him barking at the street. It is now well past midnight, but to his credit the plow has not been back down our street so I guess the barking works? Going to be a long night.
1st experience with someone "ringing the bell" this morning at radiation. As a de Novo #MBC patient I will never be "done" with treatment. This affected me way more than I thought it would. I was supposed to have #15 of 30 radiation treatment but that's cancelled due to flight nonsense. Enjoy your benadryl nap, sounds lovely.
I knew the easy flight down here was too good to be true. Used up the travel karma that day, so now I have to miss radiation treatment and doggo gets to spend an extra day at boarder. He'll be happy and they just add the treatment to the end, so I guess all is well..
Running around in a field shooting ten year olds with paintball bullets until my partner and son had to drag me away. Have a pretty massive bruise on my head from a ricochet, but that was my only hit. I do wonder how regular impact paintballs feel because that one did hurt pretty bad.
When I read my my chart results in the midst of my first of many panic attacks on my office floor. Then it got worse. Then it got stable. Now I still don’t have a single day that I don’t think about it, though sometimes I go a few minutes.
I am very, very bad at resting. It feels wasteful and indulgent. But I need to make myself do it.

Holidays have been strange this year. Maybe it’s the radiation? Maybe it’s living in a dying empire as the world burns and end stage capitalism takes its zombie toll. Anyway, I’m in Florida for a bit. At least the weather is nice.
