SHOULD THE U.S BLOT OUT THE SUN AND USHER IN AN AGE OF ETERNAL DARKNESS? - Gallup 2/20/26-3/5/26

YES - 38%
UNSURE - 21%
Not seen: A farmer with a boat and a bag of grain scrumpling up his plans and throwing them away in a tearful fit of defeated pique
So according to the WSJ a US Senator conspired with another country to manipulate the US into starting a war, am I getting this right
Amazing how these guys will be all like look, we're going over there to liberate the Iranian people, and then a minute later talk about murdering anyone and everyone in the country we're supposedly liberating.
Reflooding bogs is a great way to help with sitting water AND fight climate change
BRING BACK THE BOG
The president, breathing heavily and caked with makeup, is incoherently blaming Iran for the October 7 attacks by Hamas
I don't think you can fully understand how this fucks over Jamaica, without understanding Cuba medical interventionism.
After **decades** of a mutually beneficial partnership, including post hurricane recovery π
I say I say I say, a Caribbean nation just quit a medical program to cut ties with Cuba
Oh, Jamaica?
Yes, through the implicit threat of violent war crimes!
A woman says "Do you expect a country..."
[continued] "that has brought prosperity to no one to bring it to you?"
The thing is that I distinctly remember opponents of gay marriage crying and kicking their heels and claiming to be oppressed by the mean censorious gays all the time.
Text discussing the "no debate" posture of some activists, calling it "self-defeating" because it allows opponents to fill the silence with their own framing.
Twitter has completely lobotomized the entirety of the centrist pundit class. We've been having "debate" for decades.
What's changed is how a money backed hate movement weaponized the debate much as anti-vaxx and climate denial groups do with media all too happy to both sides it.
Like this narrative that the campaigns for equal marriage were a friendly public conversation where everybody respected each other is wild as fuck. It was only about ten years ago and you guys kept implying we wanted to fuck dogs.
In case, like me, you were wondering if this was the same article about the same AI toy or even a different article about the same AI toy, it is not.
Y'all better get them beautiful babies some blocks and books written before 2019 because any toy after is at risk
Democrats may not be able to prevent Mullin's confirmation, but they can certainly turn his track record of offense and stupidity into two days of televised humiliation so spectacular that he is wounded in Trump's eyes from day 1. That is the job.
I am all for redemption. I believe in it. I donβt think it guarantees you βgood politicianβ status. Maybe he should help someone else without all the baggage to run for the working class, like someone who isnβt rich and actually is from the working class
From X (sorry): @DropSiteNews β’ 6h β’β’β’ Peter Beinart: If the United States and Israel had not launched an attack on a country that poses no serious threat to them, those 180 school girls would be alive today. Matt Schlapp (interjecting): "They'd be alive in a burka... This is a barbaric society."
Discuss.
Sorry I'm not more open-minded about LLMs, it's just some fucking maniacs shoveled out a bunch of useless bloatware featuring that technology, did not give me any chance to opt out, reorganized the entire economy around it, zeroed out gains made by green energy, and made it impossible to buy RAM
I put up a screenshot of the labour manifesto. "Do we like this?" I ask. The audience cheers.
I press a button to send a powerful electric shock through every occupied seat. "NO!" I tell them. "BAD."
I click through to the next slide of my presentation. "The first thing to know is that everybody who votes for us is scum," I say. "The only real people are the ones who hate everything in our manifesto." The audience whoops and cheers. Someone calls me a genius
Toss up for my favourite line between
"it is signally tin-eared to be sticking doggedly to the line 'Vote Green, get Reform' on the morning after an election in which the people who voted Green got Green."
and
"Starmerism is now so unpopular that even Keir Starmer no longer supports it."
I really care about men's rights, and having given it much thought, I have decided the best way to advance them is to deny women help in the face of violence
I simply don't believe you've done the legwork to support such a blanket assertion
I will add one last thought. Many of the responses from Democratic lawmakers and liberal commentators (even the good ones) contain some ambivalence - some hope that perhaps the fall of the Iranian regime, even at the hands of Donald Trump, will be for the best. I understand why. I am the son of an Iranian immigrant. Ultimately I want freedom, democracy, and dignity for the Iranian people. The problem is that I've seen the American government promise all of those things a hundred times, and I've never seen them deliver it once.

I wrote about how Democratic leadership has abandoned the moral high ground on Iran, and how it has left them toothless when opposing Trump.
Schumer and Jeffries are crying for more procedure, but the lack of the procedure is the point. Fascists cast it aside for its weakness. Prominent Democrats have been castigating the Islamic Republic as a dangerous threat for decades; Trump is simply manifesting their rhetoric into reality. He is offering a purer form of their own politics.
It's disgusting to suggest that care workers "contribute less". They're are absolutely invaluable.
"would otherwise receive immediate access to welfare and social housing" is BS.
Correct: "after 5 years working in a care home, would be eligible to apply for welfare and social housing on the same basis as the rest of us."
