I'm trying to create a reading challenge of 50 or 100 books I've not read before to kick my reading year off and give me a goal for 2025. All suggestions welcome!

A bookcase of classic books - mostly clothbound collector's editions.
I love a Penguin Clothbound Classic and have been slowly expanding my collection over the last few years. I'm also partial to a Virago Modern Classic. This is my favourite bookcase in the house to gaze at for obvious reasons then! 😁

Blows my mind that Tacitus’ Annals only survived thanks to a single manuscript. Or rather two. The only copy of the first half was saved in a monastery in Germany and the only copy of the second half was in Monte Cassino. That’s how fine the thread that links us to our history.
I’ve seen a few posts recently arguing whether audiobooks count as reading. For me, the important thing is people are able to access books in the way that best suits them, be it ebooks, audiobooks or physical books. Some people don’t get that access at all and we that do are the lucky ones.
Pets relax better than people!
