Did anybody else make it out to the park last night? Heard it was a BLAST

Now we present - direct from the islands - a musical luau! 🦜
In a bit of a lull and I'm desperately looking for freelance work at the moment! I have experience in CAD, Illustrative and Graphic Design but I'm fairly versatile and can work with whatever's thrown at me. Even happy to be commissioned for some goofy little drawings. DM me!
“There’s no walkable cities anymore”
probably won’t be back until pass restrictions are lifted but I’m beyond grateful that I was able to spend most of last week experiencing this beautiful park for the first time. Until we meet again Epic Universe 🫡

Honey, I’m home!
If you have to shoehorn an attraction into a pre-established themed land to the point where the IP no longer resembles its own source material, why even bother? Who’s winning in that scenario?
It's funny that people who complain about the supposed decline in quality of the Disney parks are the same ones scoffing at the idea of Disney being "dethroned." I do think expectations need to be slightly tempered with Epic, but let's not act like it won't be a game changer
Sick new window displays at the studio store
posting the same valentine as last year because, much like my dating life, some things don't change ❤️
In other news the river was not kind to me today
Just got off Jurassic Park River Adventure
Stormalong bay looking like a scene straight out of the apocalypse currently
I've been here for ~8 months now and I still haven't seen much of Orlando outside of the theme parks. I want to change that - If you've got any recommendations for bars, restaurants, museums, or anything worth checking out really, drop it below
I'm all for bringing back the sleek aesthetic of 70s Tomorrowland but it bothers me that they just kind of gave up halfway and painted all the 94 elements white. Kind of hard to maintain that clean, futuristic look when theres rivets and bolts everywhere.
I live here now
Imagine if Disney took the EPCOT route with Hollywood Studios and brought back the original park theming as a surface level aesthetic only. The park is fundamentally different now, no doubt, but it still suffers from so many bland, awkward transitions where this could still work

first mardi gras!
I don't think they actually accept reservations, but honestly, you'd probably be fine without one! It was just me so I was able to walk right up to the bar and grab a seat around 8ish, but even prior to that, it was saying a 20-30 min wait basically all day on the MDE app
I'm accepting defeat on this one.. the new Island Tower exceeded my (admittedly low) expectations. At surface level, it's easy to dismiss its contemporary design, but I was pleasantly surprised by just how many small details make up this space. Wailulu especially was a highlight.
today's record haul has been brought to you by recent events in popular culture and the theme park community
(I actually missed this a lot)
Back in Rhode Island in case you couldn't tell by the dead trees

In remembrance of the mgm water features that we have lost
A bit late, but only because I'm still processing all the amazing things I saw yesterday. My first visit to IAAPA did not disappoint- it was an amazing opportunity to learn more about this industry I've admired for years, and I'm so lucky to be able to call myself a part of now.
Greetings from IAAPA!
What I'm gathering from this is forget everybody else, and design a pip boy for yourself instead. In which case, I fully agree
