Things I saw on my run today…
Talking of books... Don't forget, we'll be at the Mayfair Mini Book Fair at Mayfair Library from 11am on Saturday.
#bookfair #zinefair #mayfair
Happy #WorldBookDay! As is traditional, I'll be dressing up as 'me' from How Graffiti Saved My Dad's Life and Tom has gone off to work dressed as Norman 'Nails' McAvity, the first-ever Croydonaut, from Ad Astra Per Croydon.
(All our books and #zines are at colossive.com)
Happy 'heavenly' birthday to Tom's dad John - one of the most loving, kind and gentle people you could ever wish to meet.
He was also the man who first came up with the word 'colossive' to describe anything that was 'awful big altogether' - so our teeny-tiny press is named in his honour. ❤️
Oh, and here's something else I saw on my walk today...
Enjoyed an evening of laughter and good food and drink to remember our friend (and my writing partner) Janet Ellis, who would have been 60 yesterday 🖤
Here’s a blog I wrote after we lost her: tom-writer.blogspot.com/2011/09/my-f...

Hilda Gibbens died suddenly in 1953. There are no photographs of her. Nobody remembers what she looked or sounded like.
A Portrait of Hilda Gibbens tries to piece together what's left of her story. Buy the #zine for £4 at bit.ly/hildagibbens

On Friday, Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner told fans to 'stay humble' and 'never forget where you're coming from'. 😠
May I humbly suggest he reads our #CPFC #zines? Maybe you'd like to, too? Grab both for £6 at bit.ly/colossiveCPFC (£1 goes to St Christopher's hospice)
To Selhurst!
Be loud! Be humble! Be Palace!
