I like Timothée Chalamet in every movie I’ve seen him in except one (I’m looking at you, Wonka), but almost anything he says not directly related to the movie he is actively promoting makes me actively dislike him.

US foreign policy for the last 250 yrs or so has been to immiserate the population of a country we don’t like in increasingly cruel and deadly ways in the hopes that this will make them love and respect us. It’s never once worked, but that hasn’t stopped us from doing it.
This is a good answer and could serve as a model for all Dems. Don’t let republicans define trans issues - or any issues - on their terms. The way forward is not to abandon trans people, but to point out how absurd and sad the Republican obsession with them is.

I feel like this is a function traditional film criticism fills - an interested and educated person writing knowledgeably about specific films. I know it’s all video now, but I do have a fondness for really high quality film criticism.
