This is a very interesting read. We are grappling with gatekeeping/curating concerns with Women and the Photobook. I like your concept of gate-opening.
It’s a great interface but v hard to find people. We need to be able to see followers of people we follow. Also I’d like to see a bit of comment under each image preview - at the moment it’s a bit 500px-style overwhelm.
