I agree with you 100% about noise. Not trying to defend their use by AP & CNN. But I also don’t think that there’s any utility in trying to predict the outcomes of elections period. I’ve never understood the point beyond gambling on it! We all get to find out who wins tomorrow!
I’m not an efficient market guy. But I do believe that the more info available the more efficient a market like this should be. Today people are betting based on ED numbers in Dallas and Houston based on what they already determined Crockett needed. She’s falling way short.
Bookmakers trying to bait suckers with a trap line is a lot different than exchanges. The exchanges had trump in the 30% range in 2020. Wisdom of crowds has never not depended on superior info. The better information someone has, the more they will invest, thus creating a more efficient market.

My daughter is really bummed about the play being over and after seeing it 4 times in a row I kind of feel sad too. I thought I’d get sick of it but now I’m really sad I’ll never get to see it again. Live theater is fascinating in that way.
