When I come up with characters for DnD (or any ttrpg) I have to accept they could die at a moment's notice. Then again, I'll spend hours writing a short story for them anyway.
I'm thinking of ways to recycle them into the main story, but I'm always down for a sequel book set in a fantasy jail
Might have to delete and rewrite four chapters to make the story flow better. RIP Breaking out of Illusion Jail and doing battle with a magic supercop.
