A tiny ruby-throated hummingbird, its white throat, marked with faint dotted lines and reflecting the greenery below, hovers in mid-air, poised to take a sip from a "cigar plant's red tubular flower that is yellow at its small open end. The bird has an iridescent green back, and tail tipped with white. It's wings stretch up and back and a tiny white marking can be seen at the back margin of its one eye visible in profile.
