RIP Frederick Wiseman and thank you for your films. Great filmmaker and a giant of an example of what it means to maintain full control over your creative work. Bought these from his distribution company Zipporah Films that he created to distribute his own documentaries. Love and respect.

I went to see Saipan again last night & it is great to see Irish cinema maturing, dealing with the complex nature of Irishness while still being incredibly entertaining. But it's also about youth V middle age & the perils of being stubborn, young & ambitious. Opens in Ireland soon, buy a ticket!

Me, My Film, and My Massive Brain Tumor David Freyne directed and co-wrote a film about death. Then, he learned he had a brain tumor the size of an apple.

So apart from being very talented my brother David is very brave. While his film Eternity was being wrapped up he had a very serious diagnosis and he has written about it here time.com/7339094/eter...
