Firing employees to increase productivity is a paradox. It's like a restaurant owner thinking that if he fires the chef, the food will automatically cook and fly onto the customer's plate.

We went from β€œwhat good are the humanities?” to β€œsuddenly, no one can read” in about a year, and the answer to the first question is the disinformation and lack of critical thinking you see all around you. *That* is why you need the humanities. This is what they prevent.

I can’t figure out how anyone could think this is a good idea. Are these people dumber than a box of rocks or are they just evil?

I emailed Senator Lankford and stressed how crucial weather forecasts and severe weather coverage are! I also sang KOTV’s praises!

Whoever made those decisions was obviously not from Oklahoma! So grateful for KOTV’s severe weather coverage over the years.

What can the public do to help?

I miss the days when very rich people used their money to fund libraries, public art and philanthropic endeavors rather than launching slow-motion coups against the federal government.

In undergrad, I was driving back home from class and suddenly something started telling me that I needed to get off the highway. Luckily I was right near an exit, so I got off. Drove two blocks to a QT and my car died as I was turning in. The fuel pump had gone out.
