So, where are the mood scientists at?
So, where are the mood scientists at?
Here's a blog post about it: michaelmurraycambridge.com/2026/02/13/m...
And here's a link to the app on the app store: apps.apple.com/us/app/murra...
I made an iPhone app that randomly prompts you, twice a day, to enter data about your mood. All the data is kept locally on your phone. Whenever you want, the app will export an organized spreadsheet filled with data about your moods, that you can use however you choose.
oh good!
@onthemedia.bsky.social I guess I'm pretty dependent on your show! I'm kind of struggling with there not being a new episode last night/so far this weekend. What's going on?
3/3 A parent group provides support, perspective, and understanding. -Both in practical terms, and also gaining a deeper understanding of what informs our parenting.
Get in touch if you are interested in learning more.
2/3 An adult interpersonal group is a different kind of therapeutic opportunity, providing an incomparable setting to learn more about yourself.

1/3 Good morning. I currently have seats available in two groups.
Adult interpersonal group - meets on Thursdays from 6:00pm - 7:15pm
Parent group - meets on Wednesdays from 9:00am - 10:15am
Both groups meet in person in Porter Square, Cambridge.
Can you summarize what happened today, and what is next?
I watched episode 2 of #Adolescence last night, and I wrote a short piece about it today. -How and why teachers and school staff should take school safety personally.

For myself, I think the best way to get better and deeper at what I do is to keep doing it, keep reading, keep talking, stay involved, keep attending supervision and group supervision, stay in my reading group and consultation group.

All this being said, congratulations on your doctorates. I imagine you put a lot of effort and sacrifice into it. I hope you learned a lot in the process.
4/6
So, why exactly would I be putting the money, time, and effort toward a doctorate? To assuage the occasional uneasy feeling I get in certain spaces that it would be better for me to have one?
3/6
But, within the fields I am interested in - mental health, education, and inclusion - I donβt find on the whole that the people with doctorates are any smarter, more knowledgeable, or capable than myself.
2/6
It would seem that it would do something to address a feeling within myself that I have in certain circumstances, where others have doctorates. That feeling, unartfully described, is that it would be better if I had a doctorate. Itβs an insecure feeling.

I am proud to announce that I have no plans to acquire a doctorate!
Iβve thought about it a fair amount. A doctorate might offer me some competitive advantage in the fields of consulting and teaching. Then again, it might not.
Question:
Even if habeas corpus and due process were in place, what about the problem of removing people directly to incarceration in a concentration camp?
What legal issues, if any, does that raise?
-Certainly raises fundamental human rights issues.
www.nytimes.com/live/2025/04...
Stop calling it deporting, so MAYBE more Americans will get it. "Deporting" is sending someone back, after due process, to the country they came from, where they arrive a free person. This is human trafficking to a foreign torture prison for the rest of their lives. GET THE LANGUAGE RIGHT.
This is a really important point. There are so many layers of problems with how the administration is removing people, it's hard to reckon with them all at once.
I don't even understand the joke. I mean, I understand that Senator Van Hollen visited El Salvador, but beyond that, I don't get it. The fact that two things bear some relationship does not constitute a joke or even a statement. What am I missing?

Not that it really matters, but I'm going to stop posting here. Someone let me know if things pick up on bluesky as far as communities around #education, mental health, #inclusion, and school counseling! I'll revisit it down the road too, if bluesky continues to do broadly well. Thanks
I am mostly interested in engaging around inclusive education, school counseling, therapy, and psychology.
You know, I certainly appreciate the concept and existence of bluesky. But, at a certain point, like I did with Mastadon, I just have face that I am wasting my time posting here because of the lack of engagement.
