Like I got a this pancake thing. It’s a sweet kinda pancake. It’s from Japan. Idk what it’s called. I wanna like it. But the texture of the bean paste I can’t do it. I got a bottle of mango coconut milk. It has tiny gel chunks in it I couldn’t see from outside the bottle.

Random rant. I love a lot of different Asian foods. And I love trying new things. But bro I’m so sad. like every cool thing I pick up has at least a 25% chance of having a texture that makes it so I can’t eat it.

You can disassociate with people. But ALL art must have a place to exist. Because it’s a slippery harmful slope to silence people in this way. I know many people don’t understand this. But all I ask is that you think critically. Look past your comfort level and think from other peoples perspectives

I wanna make this clear. Plenty of art makes me uncomfortable. Some art to me may feel like a red flag. But it’s important to recognize that I don’t know everyone or everything. I don’t know someone’s motivations and I see the danger of censorship as a whole.

This is why people are saying this is facist propaganda. Censorship and control is a slow progress. It starts with smaller things you might agree with. Gets you used to the idea it’s a good thing. before you realize it they are censoring everything. equating ALL art to be degenerate. Purity culture

Second even if in the beginning you think it’s good to censor some art. Like good we got rid of degenerates. You have opened the door for more censorship. This isn’t black and white. Because again this is based on peoples personal level of comfort. It won’t stop with just what YOU think is bad.

Firstly art is a form of self expression. And many people use art to explore themselves or even cope with things they are dealing with. It’s no one’s right to take a healthy coping tool or form of self expression away from people. People are nuanced complex creatures.

You’re allowed to think someone’s art is gross. You’re allowed to be uncomfortable with it. But people need to understand that their personal level of comfort isn’t automatically morally correct. Im and 100% against censorship of art. Even of the worst things. For 2 reasons.
