As a newer player who started at the end of 2024 I'm well aware of Universes Within sets.
Bit too much of a strawman, presents newer players as uninformed, but I can see the broader critique.

I blame UB burnout, too much UB, too many sets too close together. We had a month with Lorwyn Eclipsed.
There are legitimate criticisms but they get lost in the "UB bad" "y MaGiC cArDs On ArT" takes.
The set itself has a lot of solid concepts, some cool cards, but has been caught in the crossfire.
Yes to all of this, I think a huge amount of blame falls on UB burnout. Too many sets, not enough time put into each one.
I've also heard that like Spider-Man, TMNT is not a great drafting environment due to the low set numbers and amount of legends. Sealed felt fine from a prerelease perspective.
Truuuuuuuuuue. Way too many sets. Not enough time to enjoy them. Too much UB versus in universe.
