Darn you all to heck, theyβre sold out. π
Darn you all to heck, theyβre sold out. π
Thank you! I havenβt gotten over how soft the yarn is.
A brown shawl being knit up on 40" circular needles. The yarn is Dunlin, colorway Conker, from Small Bird Workshop, sold only through the Beehive yarn shop in Victoria BC. That shop has been there since 1916! And it's lovely. Pattern: Little Bit of Love by Romi Hill https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/little-bit-of-love
Sun 3-8-26 it's #SundayAfternoonKnitting 1-3 pm @ Tom's Restaurant SE Division & Chavez in #PDX! We'll be doing #knitting, #crochet, #embroidery & nothing. Meantime please enjoy this shawl I'm knitting in Dunlin yarn from Small Bird Workshop. π§Ά #pdxknitting #pdxcrochet
A bright halo surrounds the nearly full Moon tonight. Banks of cloud are to the left and below the Moon, with a pine tree directly below the Moonβs position in the sky.
45 degree halo around the Moon tonight here, with the faint image of a 22 degree halo closer in, thanks to ice crystals high in the atmosphere #Moon #Halo #astronomy #astrophotography
Got ends woven in on my now-dry cardigan. Just needs buttons sewn on. People, it is at least 2 sizes too big now; Iβve lost 60 lbs since I began this. And I donβt care. β€οΈπ§Άβ€οΈ
Nyuck nyuck!

A dark brown crescent-shaped shawl in its early life sits on circular needles against a bedβs white sheets. Pattern: Little Bit of Love by Romi Hill https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/little-bit-of-love Yarn: Small Bird Workshop Dunlin, colorway Conker - itβs available only at the Beehive in Victoria BC where we went in 2023. This was part of my vacation purchases and the first to be knit up.
Sun 3-1-26 come to #SundayAfternoonKnitting 1-3 pm @ Tomβs Restaurant SE Division & Chavez in #PDX! Good eats & drink & #knitting, #crochet, #embroidery etc! Meantime please enjoy this Little Bit of Love shawl just begun in Dunlin, gorgeous squishy yarn.
Blocking is over, now to weave in ends and fasten on buttons. Then WEAR EVERYWHERE.
It is SO GOOD!! Can you set your mind to musing on sock knitting while your hands are baby knitting? π Or is it simultaneous?
I do too. I had the two yarns in my stash, the Mulberry bought for an entirely different and abandoned project, and they happened to go together really really well. The Millefiori was on close-out at the LYS where we vacation sometimes so I bought the remainder for stash. Fortuitous.

#Blocking. I hate blocking. But itβs almost done. #knitting #pdxknitting
Beans! SO GOOD! Tell me about them when you taste them, please.
Thank you!
Thank you! It honestly wasn't hard, it's just keeping the st count accurate. The grafting was throwing me off--I hate doing it.
Thank you!
Finished: Montana Mountains cowl by Andrea Mowry. 6 years of work. Mostly sitting but still. 6. YEARS. Grafting the sts was holding me back until I said "f itβ and 3-needle-bound-off. I DONβT CARE ANY MORE. It looks fine. Donβt blame Andrea for the bind-off is all Iβll say! π§Ά #knitting #pdxknitting
With mosaic st, you slip sts but not as many as with linen st. Which I also love & am considering for the next project! Me being slow is just me doing anything requiring fine motor control, not even really fine motor control--aka knitting. It can be frustrating.
I worked on other projects. It wasnβt hard but it was lonnnggg; I had to put it aside a few times. Iβve had a major stroke, so Iβm a lot slower than I used to be.
Sigh π§Ά

Pressed Flowers cardigan designed by Amy Cristoffers, knit by yrs trly. Pattern: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pressed-flowers-cardigan-2 Yarns: MC - Briggs & Little Sport colorway Mulberry CC - Berocco Millefiori Light colorway 6831
FINISHED!! Well, the knitting anyway, after 2.5 years! Now to block and sew on buttons.
That said, I love finishing, love the things Iβve made, wear them constantly & am planning what to wear to sangha today as we type! I think the Moon & Other Satellites shawl in pinks, reds & natural along with a pair of Pioneer fingerless mitts in purple Malabrigo. Maybe a hat too. ALL THE KNITS!
You are obviously a process knitterβyou like the knitting itself more than what youβre actually knittingβrather than a project knitter, who knits for the finished item. Iβm definitely a process woman. I have SO. MANY things on the needles itβs not even funny. β€οΈπ§Άβ€οΈ
NO. π€£ I am usually SO HAPPY when I finish a project because itβs either been on the needles for a long time orβwhen Iβm knitting something small or in worsted weight or heavier which is rarelyβitβs a quick project. This took 2.5 years and I will be so relieved when itβs done.
Gah π§Ά
I knew I forgot somethingβ¦
The wrong side of this Pressed Flowers cardigan is visible as the last row of the button band is worked. I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS FOR 2.5 YEARS.
