Take care of yourself! β€οΈβ€οΈ
Yes it does pick up but it's tough to find your pace at the beginning absolutely. It's definitely worth it though.
I finally, after 2 months have finished The Spear Cuts Through Water! I struggled to get into it for the first 60 or so pages absolutely lost, plus my eyeballs didn't want to read; it really picks up though and weaves an incredible story within a story.
Definitely not like anything I've ever read.
Thank you! Audiobooks have been my life saver as well!
I've been a little MIA lately, and reading is not coming as freely as last year. I'm still getting through The Spear Cuts Through Water that I started at the beginning of January... It's actually getting really good now so I hope to finish it this weekend, but I don't usually take 2 months to finish
I'm so excited for this one! Already on hold on Libby!
I love a good comfort soup!
Winnie the Pooh and Piglet sitting on a log. Text reads: 'Is it summer yet' asked Pooh 'No, it's still February' said Piglet 'For fucks samed' said Pooh
This about sums up how I'm feeling with all the snow dumped on us, and more to come ππ
Right, as I sit here typing on my Google Pixel. Yeah it would be lovely to be able to not use it, but as you said, there are other things we can be doing.
I've been obsessed with 90's music lately. All genres. Bring on the nostalgia!
So ridiculous
I feel you. I managed 5 and that's because of audiobooks and several were just finishing December starts... I'm still reading the one book I started in Jan because my eyeballs are lazy.
Those were awful even when they were cool. Living here, it meant the bottom 3rd of my pants were constantly SOAKED lol.
You can pry my black leggings off my cold dead body π
I also tend to wake up at that time or 3 every night too. It's frustrating! I started taking magnesium which hasn't stopped the waking but the falling back asleep part is moderately easier?
Hey everyone, Just a quick update! Our wonderful host Amanda is going to be taking some time off to kick cancer in the face for a 3rd time. The prognosis is looking really good; but we know that it will be even better if they're not constantly trying to keep up here. With that said, there is a small contingent of us here who will be facilitating the bimonthly bookclub picks on Storygraph and will co host some video calls to discuss! have questions, please reach out to Michellemybelle Alicia Ann Reads, Ruby's biblioteca. Thanks!
A Quick update for the #ReadMoreDiverseNonFiction challenge!

Isn't though?!?
Finally completed this masterpiece last night!
Stop calling monstrous things "distractions" challenge for the Democrats. Challenge level: Impossible.
Trans lives and Palestinian lives are not a distraction. They are lives being ruined and taken by this administraton's words and actions AT THE SAME TIME as their heist of the US government.
I just started this on audiobook yesterday and already love it!
Iβve always felt kinda odd about the way heritage and pride and history months become these really weird posturing events for monetized content. Like idk man seeing booktokers who never engage with diverse reading suddenly having partnerships for BHM with book stores and Amazon feels gross.
Yes!! I'm looking forward to it!
I loved that book!!
This sounds intriguing!
So true!!
I wish you nothing but the best of luck β€οΈβ€οΈ
I pre registered but based on what everyone else has been saying meh I don't feel like it lol
