I'm nonreligious living in Oklahoma. I agree with you, but Its already normalized. I will always be outvoted here; we both get two senators. There's a lot of folks in America who will always vote 'by the book'. Conservatives exploit that, gerrymander the districts, then 'the deluded' author laws.

I should mention I've not yet evaluated codex or tidalwave. I also forgot to mention I used Aider for months. Its great, but opencode or claude code in the CLI is better.

I've used opencode, claude code, continue for vS code, and cursor. Currently using claude code, but planning to go back to opencode; I preferred that experience most of the 4. I use my code editor separately now prompt-stuff in CLI; and don't use much 'in editor' things. Feels uncluttered this way

Bass at :35 reminded me of the 'Squire/Rickenbacker' bass in CTTE, guitar lick/hammond at 1:45 or so, similar sort of vibe too.
Its subtle and very musical. I hear newer prog influence all over the soundtrack too. Sounds like a lot of compositional effort
Your hard work hasn't gone unnoticed!

everyone's talking about their teams like they were at the peak of efficiency and bottlenecked by ability to produce code
here's what things actually look like
- your org rarely has good ideas. ideas being expensive to implement was actually helping 1/4

I have been informed our "oven cannot connect to the network" suddenly and I hate the fact that baking fish involves this point of failure at all.
Listen kids, we once lived in simpler times. The internet was in the spots we wanted, only.

Tim heidecker saying "its free context" over the "its free real estate" meme
My team threw in on @storybook.js.org ( and sb-react-native ) on a project. As we adopt more AI tooling in our standard processes; the context provided has essentially been free velocity boost; streamlining adoption and correctness. Like an "agents.md" for each component

The fact I have to read a right wing propaganda outlet to keep up with a sizeable chunk of Tech news and discourse is immensely frustrating.

Maybe they tell the same story, "yah in 2009 the elevator opened and Tim Exile was like, right there". It depends on if you were sufficiently terrifying to make that sort of impression I guess.

Steam :: Voltage High Society :: Music of Voltage High Society
Little warmhearted writeup on the_simian
The devs of @platonicpartnership.com wrote some very kind words about my involvement in their next Game, Voltage High Society. I'm wrapping up a new track for an upcoming update. I feel like its the best one yet; really nails it on atmosphere.

It just occurred to me that might be sad for a mechanical keyboard builder to hear.
I still type for fun. I am typing now, even.

I also enjoy writing code. I admittedly cannot type as fast as an LLM, so at minimum I am typing less these days.

"All code written in a year, year an a half will be written by grinding machines overseen by engineers"
absolutely agree
"...who no longer look directly at the code"
Stupid take actually. Tells me he's not really using this stuff. Engineers will be reading more code. Writing less, reading more.

My first instinct when hearing it would have been a pattern gate, but there's a brief clip of the carefully stacked midi and the tight patch; which honestly grants way more control. Its a slick accompaniment and is delightful and percussive

Dorkqs, by Various Artists
31 track album
Related but unrelated: I contributed to a compilation called "dorkqs" celebrating the 20 year anniversary of Drukqs, by Aphex Twin. Thanks for the reminder that in some circles it could actually be called "grunts".
