I'm so tired of the artist's profession being treated as something unimportant and easily replaceable. “We're just using genAI for concept art, trust me, it'll be live actors!”
I mean, yeah, artists aren't really people, so we shouldn't pay them or respect what they do... sigh

Update:

With the help of SystemRescue, DMDE and adhd I was able to collect my files. After 12 hours of anxiety got almost all of them which is... kind of a miracle.
Now is the time to spend last money on new drive and make 2 more backups uh oh

uh, thank you for giving me hope! will ask around on monday, but not really expecting anything good to happen

the funny thing is, it was backup, original source of which is unobtainable now. I was saving data for the last month, and this week I bough another hdd to make backup 2.0
which is why it was on the table to begin which from where I dropped it...
